Synopsis

Ky'Ree, a young nurse at a prominent Detroit hospital, has it all. At least from the outside looking in. Her man keeps her dripped in first-class luxury items, while Ra, Ky's big brother, and only living relative, would kill to protect her. When Ra's business partner, Cal, enters the picture, things become messy. Ky's best friends, Winter and Nadia, try to help her stay true to herself and her family regardless of the drama. Against The Grain takes us on a journey of love, loss, and ultimate betrayal. In the eye of the storm is Ky, who must choose between happiness or the life she has always known.
